Use of our website
Registration for trainings
If you register for training offers on our website, your details from the registration form, including the contact details you provide there, will be stored on our systems for the purpose of further processing of the registration and subsequent invoicing. They are processed there exclusively by us, stored in accordance with the statutory provisions and not passed on to third parties.
We only use PayPal to process the payment. Accordingly, we do not process any payment information such as credit card data or similar on our systems ourselves. However, the creation of a PayPal account is a prerequisite for registering for our training courses. Information on how PayPal handles personal data can be found here:
https://www.paypal.com/myaccount/privacy/privacyhub
The processing of the data entered in the registration form is therefore carried out to initiate and fulfill the contract (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR).
Conducting the training courses
We use the video conferencing software Zoom and Microsoft Teams to conduct our online training courses. Just like Hubspot, Zoom and Microsoft are US companies and the level of data protection in the USA is not comparable to that in the EU, which means that audio and video recordings of the participants in our training courses in particular are transferred to a third country.
Although we have also concluded new standard contractual clauses with both providers, which oblige the companies to comply with data protection rules that are comparable to those existing in the EU, there is still a risk of unnoticed data access by US authorities and EU citizens have no possibility of effective legal enforcement in the USA.
However, due to the training functionalities provided, such as breakout rooms and whiteboards, we are currently unable to offer an alternative conferencing solution. We explicitly point out the use of Zoom to conduct training before registering for an online training course, so that the data transfer takes place on the basis of an existing contract (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPRin conjunction with Art. 49 para. 1 lit. b GDPR).
Server-Log-Files
Our web server automatically collects and stores information that your browser automatically transmits to us. These are:
- Browser type and browser version
- Operating system used
- Referrer URL
- Host name of the accessing computer
- Time of the server request
- IP address
We use this information exclusively to detect attacks on our website at an early stage or to be able to clarify attacks that have already taken place retrospectively. The basis for this data processing is therefore our legitimate interest in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. The data is deleted after 6 months.
Contact form
If you send us inquiries via the contact form, your details from the inquiry form, including the contact details you provide there, will be stored in our CRM for the purpose of processing the inquiry and in the event of follow-up questions. We use the web-based software of the company Hubspot, whose headquarters and data storage location is in the USA, as our CRM. The USA is one of the countries in which there is no level of data protection comparable to that in the EU. Although we have concluded new standard contractual clauses with Hubspot that oblige the company to comply with data protection rules that are comparable to those existing in the EU, there is still a risk of unnoticed data access by US authorities and EU citizens have no possibility of effective legal enforcement in the USA. However, due to the fact that the data we store at Hubspot is generally not particularly sensitive, we consider the resulting risk to be acceptable.
The processing of the data entered in the contact form is therefore based on your explicit consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR in conjunction with Art. 49 para. 1 lit. a GDPR). You can withdraw this consent at any time. An informal email to us is sufficient for this purpose.
We will retain the data you provide on the contact form until you request its deletion, revoke your consent for its storage, or the purpose for its storage no longer pertains (e.g. after fulfilling your request). Mandatory statutory provisions – in particular retention periods – remain unaffected.
Google reCAPTCHA
We use “Google reCAPTCHA” (hereinafter referred to as “reCAPTCHA”) on our websites. The provider is Google Inc, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (“Google”).
The purpose of reCAPTCHA is to check whether data is entered on our websites (e.g. in a contact form) by a human or by an automated program. For this purpose, reCAPTCHA analyzes the behavior of the website visitor based on various characteristics. This analysis begins automatically as soon as the website visitor enters the website. For the analysis, reCAPTCHA evaluates various information (e.g. IP address, time spent on the website by the website visitor or mouse movements made by the user). The data collected during the analysis is forwarded to Google.
The reCAPTCHA analyses run completely in the background. Website visitors are not informed that an analysis is taking place.
Data processing is carried out on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in protecting its website from abusive automated spying and SPAM.
Further information about Google reCAPTCHA and Google’s privacy policy can be found in the following links:

Google Web Fonts
This site uses so-called web fonts provided by Google for the uniform display of fonts. When you access a page, your browser loads the required web fonts into your browser cache in order to display texts and fonts correctly. These fonts are provided exclusively locally by our servers, so that as a result no connection to a Google server is generally necessary. Accordingly, no IP addresses or other personal data are transmitted.
Google Maps
This site uses the map service Google Maps via an API. The provider is Google Inc, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.
To use the functions of Google Maps, it is necessary to integrate an external program from Google. This usually involves your IP address being transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. The USA is one of the countries in which there is no level of data protection comparable to that in the EU, which is why the integration of Google Maps does not take place automatically, but only with your explicit consent. You can give this consent using the Borlabs cookie plugin or by clicking on the location where a map from Google Maps is to be integrated. Data processing is therefore based on your consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a in conjunction with. Art. 49 para. 1 lit. a GDPR.
You can find more information on the handling of user data in Google’s privacy policy:
https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en.
Cookies and analytics tools
When you visit our website, only so-called “session cookies” are set as standard. Your settings relating to cookies and external content are stored there. If you consent to the anonymized collection of usage statistics, two additional tracking cookies will be stored in your browser. This is then done on the basis of your consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR.
To collect and analyze usage statistics, we use the “matomo” software, which is operated locally on our server and does not require data transfer to other service providers.
Google Analytics
The purpose of using Google Analytics 4 is to analyze the use of our website in order to optimize both the website itself and our advertising measures. These analyses enable users to make better use of the website.
For these analysis purposes, we use Google Analytics, which is provided to us by Google Ireland Limited (
https://www.google.de/intl/de/about/), Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Ireland (“Google”). Google processes the website usage data on our behalf and has contractually agreed to take measures to ensure the security and confidentiality of the processed data.
Google Analytics is a cookie (see above) that collects various data during your visit to our website, including the pages viewed, orders placed including revenue and products ordered, the achievement of “website goals” such as contact requests and your behavior on the pages, such as length of stay, clicks and scrolling behavior. In addition, your approximate location (country and city), your IP address (in abbreviated form), technical information such as browser, internet provider, end device and screen resolution as well as the source of your visit are recorded. However, personal data such as name, address or contact details are never transmitted to Google Analytics. Likewise, no individual IP addresses are logged.
The legal basis for the processing of users’ personal data is generally the user’s consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. a GDPR.
This data is processed in the EU. It cannot be ruled out that this data may also be transferred to Google servers in the USA. It should be noted that the same level of data protection may not be guaranteed in the USA as in the EU. Further information can be found in the Google Analytics privacy policy or transfer of data at:
https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245?hl=en.
Google Analytics stores cookies in your web browser for a period of two years since your last visit. These cookies contain a randomly generated user ID with which you can be recognized on future visits to the website.
The data collected is stored together with the randomly generated user ID, which enables the creation of pseudonymous user profiles. This user-related data is automatically deleted after 14 months, while other data remains stored in aggregated form indefinitely.
If you do not agree to the collection of your data, you can prevent this either by installing the browser add-on to deactivate Google Analytics once or by rejecting the cookies via our cookie settings dialog. If you refuse the collection of your data, you may not be able to use all the functions of our website to their full extent.

- User name or name
